There is no need to add any new idea in the abstract of your dissertation.

7) Keep the readers in mind

No doubt, the main aim to write an abstract is to provide an idea about the key points and key ideas of your dissertation. Therefore, you should try to add these key ideas and key points in such a way that your abstract should be interesting rather than overwhelming for the readers.
